"between materialism and spiritualism: modern art reconsidered"
some modern painters saw a specific painterly materiality as an expression of something spiritual. this lecture will explore this kind of unique split between positivist materialism and spiritualism in the history of modern art.

dr. endo is professor of english, seikei university in tokyo, japan. he is the author, editor, and contributor to numerous texts on the intersection of literature and psychoanalysis - with a speciality in bloomsbury culture of the early 20th century. he is also the translator of books on psychoanalysis into japanese. dr endo is currently a senior visiting research fellow of the institute of advanced studies, university of college london, where he is conducting original research on the work of roger fry.

learn and share about hope & resilience amidst dementia, challenging stigma, and connecting with others. featuring keynote speakers myrna norman (a person living with dementia and advocate) and rebekah churchyard (of dementia green care farms).
there will also be opportunities to browse vendor booths and learn about available health services in our community. continental breakfast, coffee/tea, lunch and snacks are included. this conference is being run for and by people living with dementia and care partners.
