to the application of mechanics to the analysis of human motion. the wizards grade 7 helmet intervention module provides a unique opportunity for 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛
to visualize the outcomes of unsafe practices while studying specific concepts within the grade 7 ontario science curriculum. the purpose of this study was to evaluate the implementation and utilization of the wizards intervention module. methods. seventy four 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛
from five grade 7 northwestern ontario schools participated in this quasi-experimental research study. thirty seven 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛
participated as the intervention group, while thirty seven 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛
comprised the control group. the intervention group was required to complete a knowledge test of basic biomechanical concepts and helmet safety, and a survey of attitudes and frequency of helmet use pre and post intervention. in addition, 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛
and teachers in the intervention group completed
program satisfaction questionnaires. 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛
in the control group completed a knowledge test, and attitude and helmet use surveys during the same time period.
results: the results were organized into three themes: program implementation, program outcomes, and value added. the program implementation results indicate that the program was implemented as intended, the educational practices were incorporated effectively, and the teachers were provided with the support necessary to make the
program a success. the program outcome results suggest that while there was no significant difference in the pre to post test comparisons on attitude towards helmet use between control and intervention groups, there was a statistically significant increase in the level of knowledge for the intervention group. there was a significant difference in the intervention versus control group’s intention to wear a helmet in the future. the results of the value added theme suggest that both 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛
and teachers found the program a valuable addition to their classroom.
conclusions: the success in delivering the “wizards of motion” program illustrates the versatility of linking real time health promotion to standardized curriculum, and invites considerations for additional program links across the curriculum. finally, the study highlights the importance of programs designed to promote head safety and helmet use. | |
