the canadian breast cancer foundation, in partnership with the canadian institutes of health research, is pleased to announce the launch of a new competition to support research focused on breast cancer in young women. this new research funding opportunity has been designed to facilitate progress in this underserved research area toward improving the clinical outcomes and quality of life for young women with breast cancer.

health quality ontario (hqo) is inviting ontario researchers and health care program leads to submit applications to the health technology fund (htf) program request for proposal (rfp) competition. the htf promotes evidence-based analyses and supports the operation of evidence-based program (ebp) centers that focus on three areas: decision analyses/economic evaluations, evidence synthesis and field evaluations or usability studies. 

while the maximum total amount to be awarded will be $2,000,000, typical project requests are expected to range between $250,000 and $350,000. please note that this is a discretionary, non-entitlement program and funding will be awarded on a competitive basis. the deadline to submit applications is july 4, 2013.
