the dawn walker grant is administered by the canadian foundation for women's health (cfwh) in support of health policy training and development for healthcare professionals. for purposes of the grant, healthcare professionals are defined as individuals or 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 working or learning in a healthcare field and whose success will benefit from an enhanced understanding of the development of better health program policy for children and women.

the canadian foundation for women’s health attributes up to two duchesnay fellowships every year to resident 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 in obstetrics and gynaecology who desire to complete an elective in a health care center of a developing country. the fellowships cover four to eight weeks and the amount varies from $2,500cad to $4,500cad according to the length of the elective. a $700cad lump‐sum will be allocated to the local supervisor of the elective.

the cfwh general research grants are awarded to those committed to finding solutions to the reproductive health issues that face women both in canada and around the world. open to any area within the field of obstetrics and gynaecology, these grants aim to help make further advancements in women’s health treatment, research, and education. the cfwh general research grant has a value of up to $20,000.

we are recognizing impactful and innovative activities in canadian housing, like housing research, research training and knowledge mobilization outreach.

you can be awarded up to $20, 000 and receive other great rewards for the research work you’ve put into fields related to housing in canada. your research can be in the social sciences and humanities, health and technology—the caveat is that your research must tie back to housing across canada.

solutions labs provides funding and expert solution lab consultants to help solve complex housing problems using innovation methods and tools. teams with diverse experience and knowledge will outline and identify: 

• the housing problem they wish to examine in the lab 
• their strategy to co-develop and test possible solutions 
• a roadmap that communicates a clear path for solution uptake and replication 

the goal is to develop world-leading solutions to housing problems that can contribute to the national housing strategy’s key priority areas.

nmin’s strategic initiative (si) program focuses on supporting just-in-time research development, commercialization and knowledge mobilization/transfer opportunities that arise in-year and/or require a rapid response in order to generate, promote or accelerate the economic and social benefits of previous or new nmin or related research investments. these funds are intended to provide support for research, post-discovery commercialization, business planning and knowledge dissemination, mobilization, or translation activities. the projects must be scaled to be achievable within a one-year/12-month timeframe and be aligned with nmin’s mission and vision. ideally, the si will be undertaken in partnership with nmin partners, stakeholders, and/or end-user organizations

innovate uk, part of uk research and innovation (ukri), and the natural sciences and engineering research council of canada (nserc) are partnering to launch a call for research proposals on quantum technologies. the call builds on complementary interests and research expertise in this area in the united kingdom (uk) and canada.

this call will allow for the collaboration between leading-edge scientists and potential innovative users, from industry and/or government sectors, to accelerate the development of quantum technologies.

the call will provide up to c$4,000,000 in funding over three years, with a maximum of c$400,000 per project, from nserc. it will also provide up to £2,000,000 in funding over three years, with a maximum of £300,000 per project, from innovate uk.

eligible proposals must be prepared by a consortium including an applicant in canada and one in the uk. canadian applicants are principal investigators who will receive funding through nserc alliance grants, which require at least one partner organization, for this call in the private sector, whose cash contributions will be recognized for cost-sharing (see alliance grants: role of partner organizations). the nserc alliance program will be used to deliver research support.

uk applications are led by businesses, partnering with academic researchers and research and technology organizations (rtos), which will be eligible for a share of up to 50% of total eligible project costs.

as a pillar of the autonomous vehicle innovation network (avin), the av r&d partnership fund supports projects related to the development and demonstration of technologies in the connected and autonomous vehicle (c/av) sector in the following priority areas:

• mass light vehicles (e.g., cars, trucks and vans)
• heavy duty vehicles (including commercial vehicles, trucks, buses, recreational vehicles (rvs), and others used for goods movement)
• transportation infrastructure
• intelligent transportation systems (its)
• transit-supportive systems and vehicles

applicant:

• small- or medium-sized enterprise (sme) 
• required to have operations in ontario

partners:

• for-profit small and medium-sized enterprises (smes)
• for-profit national and multi-national enterprises (nes and mnes)
• publicly-funded post-secondary academic institutions (secondary)
• municipalities
• indigenous communities
• not-for-profit organizations
• required to have operations and carry out projects in ontario

project:

• eligible projects require a minimum of two organizations:  generally, an sme – the applicant – works with a primary partner (other than an academic institution).  additional partners - secondary partners – can be any eligible organization and part of the team for strategic and commercial reasons. there is no limit on the number of partners.
• minimum 2:1 cash match by applicants and/or partners
• project activities are carried out in ontario
• must include demonstration of actual products that can be showcased at events, on the road, and/or at customer sites.
• projects should be at technology readiness level 3-7
• typical project activities include: technology development, demonstration, product/service validation, testing, and proof of concept

the specific objectives of this funding opportunity are to:

• foster transnational cooperation of european countries and beyond, and to coordinate research efforts and funding programs of the era-cvd partner countries with canada;
• promote co-operation and interchange for canadian early and mid-career researchers and enable international collaboration and new consortia establishment in cardiovascular research;
• enable capacity building and empowering of canadian early and mid-career scientists by providing an opportunity to independently develop and perform internationally linked highly innovative research projects; and
• add value in funding the collaboration over individual projects by sharing of resources (e.g., models, databases, diagnosis etc.), harmonization of data, sharing of specific know-how and/or innovative technologies.
