the objective of the ontario human capital research and innovation fund (ohcrif) is to support research and innovation projects that identify better ways to help people prepare for, return to or keep employment and become productive participants in the labour force.

the specific objectives of this funding opportunity are:

• to support implementation research teams that actively engage partners (i.e., indigenous peoples, community groups, decision makers and service delivery partners) as an integral part of the entire research process;
• to enhance evidence regarding the adaptation and successful implementation of evidence-based interventions (including cost-effectiveness) for the prevention and/or early diagnosis of cancer in lmics and/or in indigenous populations in canada;
• to increase understanding of key barriers and facilitators (including contextual factors such as culture, governance, health systems) to cancer prevention and/or early diagnosis at local, national and/or international levels.

the specific objective of this funding opportunity is:

• to facilitate multinational, collaborative research projects that will address important questions related to sensory disorders and their impact on the nervous system. they may include research into all the sensory modalities including the somatosensory system and research questions addressing synergies across modalities and multisensory dysfunction.

the operating grants competition is the principal means by which the cancer research society (crs) fulfills its mission to support fundamental, early translational and environment-cancer research on all types of cancer to contribute to the advancement of science aimed at preventing, detecting and treating this disease. this program allows for the awarding of seed money to the most promising canadian researchers who submit original projects related to various aspects of cancer. this investment builds on a previous partnership with crs, and aligns with cihr-icr’s strategic plan while also promoting the funding of early career researchers (see eligibility). this partnership also allows cihr-imha to target funds to support skin research in the area of non-melanoma skin cancers.
