since 2007, the weston family awards in northern research (previously the w. garfield weston awards in northern research) have provided unparalleled support to young scientists in canada pursuing research in canada’s north. funded by the w. garfield weston foundation, these annual awards are some of the most prestigious in the country for 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 pursuing a master’s degree, phd or postdoctoral fellowship. over 270 early-career researchers have been selected to receive an award since the program’s inception, forming a community of weston family northern scientists who are at the forefront of northern scholarship and who are helping shape a better future for canada and the world.

weston family award winners undertake research projects across a broad spectrum of fields and disciplines in the natural sciences, including studies of northern ecosystems, biodiversity, flora and fauna, meteorology, oceanography, glaciology, geography and environmental studies.

the fathom fund was developed for researchers from across canada who are motivated, energetic, and interested in connecting themselves and their work to communities.

we are looking for researchers who share our vision for a new way to fund interesting and exciting marine research in canada. we encourage applications for marine research projects from a wide range of researchers: new academics building their experience, non-traditional researchers with community support, 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 with innovative ideas, and organizations with academic partners. while every fathom fund project must have an academic partner, we believe that great science can go beyond a university lab.

director general military personnel research and analysis (dgmpra) requires a literature review of academic and applied research on the experiences of persons with disabilities (pwd) in the workplace, and of service personnel in military and para-military organizational contexts in particular. this literature review is intended to be used in the development of subsequent social scientific research.

the ontario ministry of transportation (mto) is pleased to announce the call for proposals as part of the 2019-2020 road safety research partnership program (rsrpp). this program funds researchers in the broader public sector to conduct cutting-edge, road safety research that supports ontario’s efforts to improve road safety.

for the 2019-2020 competition, proposals must involve one of the following five key priority areas: 1) distracted driving; 2) driver education, training, and evaluation; 3) impaired driving; 4) automated/connected vehicles and advanced driver assistance systems; or 5) vulnerable road users. the mto will be funding up to 5 projects, each with a maximum value of $70,000 or $100,000 depending on the priority area addressed (see proposal guidelines below). all relevant documents for this funding opportunity can be downloaded using the links below, including additional information on the priority areas and detailed instructions on the application process.

the measuring the impacts of financial and organizational restructuring of public health opportunity is expected to:

• generate evidence on how changes to the funding, organization and/or delivery of public health services impact population health, health systems and health equity;
• improve data and methods for measuring the benefits, costs, harms and trade-offs of changes in public health funding, organization and /or delivery; and
• develop evidence that can be used to inform future decisions or policies related to public health resourcing and organization.
