we are pleased to inform you that oleksandr grynko, brandon baldassi, and borys komarov attended the 2022 ieee nuclear science symposium and medical imaging conference and room temperature semiconductor detector conference in milan, italy, from november 5-12.

oleksandr presented an oral presentation titled “amorphous lead oxide based multilayer x-ray detector with near-theoretical sensitivity.” brandon and borys each presented posters with the respective titles: “low-dose imaging performance of a clinical organ-targeted positron emission tomography (pet) camera” and “application of gpu-based reconstruction for a clinical organ-targeted pet scanner.” more information about the conference and other presentations can be found here.

congratulations to borys on his successful msc thesis defense in computer science.
borys presented on 3d gpu-based image reconstruction algorithm for the application in a
clinical organ-targeted pet camera. this was done under dr. alla reznik
