i began my career in the oil and gas industry in calgary, alberta, as an oil sands laboratory technician. i went on to obtain my chemical engineering technology diploma from the southern alberta institute of technology. after advancing my career in a variety of production engineering, environmental and regulatory compliance roles as a certified engineering technologist, i attended 阿根廷vs墨西哥竞猜 ’s chemical engineering program as part of the unique transition program for college engineering technology graduates.

bigger is not always better! after attending large schools for my undergrad and now for my ph.d., my best experience as a student has been at lakehead when i completed my masters. the department of women's studies is home to small class sizes, knowledgeable, dedicated, and kind professors, challenging curriculum, and a wonderful feeling of community.
