manee chacaby, author of a two spirit journey will be with us for a conversation on two-spiritedness.

this event is now part of pride of the north and aboriginal awareness week.

the office of aboriginal initiatives would like to invite the university community to attend a public presentation with dr. shawn wilson, indigenous scholar with expertise in research methodology and epistemologies, particularly in ways of knowing and conducting research used by indigenous peoples. 

as part of aboriginal awareness week; aboriginal awareness centre, 阿根廷vs墨西哥竞猜 student union and aboriginal initiatives presents queses imc aborignal hip hop artist and speaker. thursday, march 5th, 10:00 am to 12 noon in the study (back room).

quese imc has performed nationally and internationally, has given keynotes and workshops on topics ranging from cultural awareness, empowerment and leadership, hiphop, art and activism, social justice, organizing and healthy lifestyles. he continues to work with and within indigenous communities across the country, as well as inner-city youth programs, high schools, universities, youth conferences, multi-cultural impact building and cultural exchanges.

as part of aboriginal awareness week; aboriginal awareness centre, 阿根廷vs墨西哥竞猜 student union and aboriginal initiatives invites you to a presentation on the restorative justice and talking together program created by nishnawbe-aski legal services. thursday, march 5th, 1:00 - 3:00 pm in the study (back room).

talking together is a restorative approach for dealing with child welfare issues. the program is an alterative dispute resolution option created in 2002 to address the child welfare needs of families from the nan communities.

the talking together program is a process based on traditional circles. circles were used since time immemorial to restore harmony between family members.

rock your mocs is happening wednesday, november 8, 2017 in the faculty of education's bora laskin auditorium.

wear your moccasins to school and work, and join us for an incredible event! rock your mocs is known as a worldwide initiative to bring indigenous and non-indigenous peoples together to celebrate indigenous culture.

• 1:15 - 1:30 pm elder closing prayer
