wintertech development leverages the strengths and innovative capabilities of ontario smes in the automotive and mobility sector and our unique winter weather conditions to establish the province as a test bed for mobility products and services in severe winter weather conditions.

because of ovin’s wintertech development program, ontario is a global leader in the commercialization of new winter-ready mobility technologies and solutions.

wintertech development supports projects related to technology/product/service validation, testing, demonstration and prototyping of mobility products and services in severe winter weather conditions in the following priority areas:

• mass light vehicles, such as cars, trucks, and vans
• heavy duty vehicles, including commercial vehicles, trucks, buses, recreational vehicles (rvs), and others used for goods movement
• transportation infrastructure
• intelligent transportation systems (its)
• transit-supportive systems and vehicles

the canadian science policy fellowship (cspf) is now accepting applications from phd holders interested in a year-long policy position, starting in september 2023, with a canadian government host office.

approved fellows receive an annual salary of $70,000 to $80,000 from their host offices, as well as professional development and networking opportunities facilitated by mitacs.

eligible applicants must:

• be a canadian citizen or permanent resident
• hold a phd in any academic discipline at the start of the fellowship
• participate full-time in a 12-month fellowship with the host office
• secure accommodation in the host city, and relocate to their host office as needed
• negotiate a leave of absence from their current employer, as applicable
• meet any additional requirements of their hosts, including (but not limited to) security clearance requirements

the kay and peter mcgeer scholarship for northern research - $3,000
this scholarship is available to graduate 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 of all disciplines who are working to establish meaningful relationships with local northern communities based on knowledge-sharing. please note that special consideration will be given to 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 from the north and/or projects that offer opportunities for indigenous community members, particularly youth, to participate in research. 
dr. weston blake jr. memorial doctoral scholarship - $10,000
proposals for this scholarship are invited from candidates in the physical sciences including (interdisciplinary and comparative studies) who are engaging in research leading to a thesis, and there is a direct northern field research/experience that is part of their studies (as well their program is relevant to northern challenges or issues).
dr. jim mcdonald scholarship for northern research - $5,000
this scholarship  is available to canadian citizens or permanent residents of canada who are enrolled in graduate studies in the social sciences and humanities whose research pertains to canada’s north and its inhabitants. 
canadian northern studies trust (cnst) scholarship - $10,000
this scholarship is available to 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 who are citizens or permanent residents of canada who are enrolled in a doctoral program at a canadian university.  proposals from candidates from all subject areas including interdisciplinary  and comparative studies are invited.  candidates are required to be engaged in research culminating in a thesis.  their studies must also include direct northern field research and their research be relevant to northern challenges or issues.

educational institution research awards are designed to encourage research at canadian universities and colleges in areas of interest to imperial oil's petroleum, petrochemical and energy resource development businesses. these areas include the fields of engineering, environmental, earth, chemical, and physical sciences.

awards for specific research projects are made to full-time faculty members to support research work carried out by university 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 under their direction.

individual awards are normally available in amounts up to $25,000 depending on budgets for the proposed research, availability of funds, and potential significance of the research as determined by imperial.

every year, crs offers targeted funding opportunities through the operating grants competition, thanks to collaborations with valued partners and to the generosity of major donors whose families have been affected by cancer.

 this year, crs is proud to announce a new partnership with the canadian institutes of health research (cihr) to jointly fund 16 grants in the 2023 operating grants competition. these grants aim to support the most promising and innovative cancer research related to:

•          four (4) grants for early-career investigators on any type of cancer

•          eight (8) grants on breast cancer

•          four (4) grants on for projects targeting cancer survivorship research

in addition, crs is pleased to be partnering with the canadian liver foundation to jointly fund 4 grants that focus on the advancement of new treatments for liver cancer.

 one (1) project focusing on research to improve breast cancer treatment for black women will be funded in partnership with desjardins insurance.

the objectives of this funding opportunity are to:

• utilize knowledge on shared inflammation pathways in intervention trials in humans with the objective of improving prevention or management of inflammation in people living with or at risk of developing chronic conditions.
• equitably improve health outcomes for population subgroups that have been underrepresented in research (e.g., women, lgbtqia/2s populations, racialized canadians, indigenous peoples, pregnant people) and those across life stages (e.g., children, older adults) through proven effective evidence-based interventions to address the health effects of inflammation.

the specific objectives of this funding opportunity are to:

• establish an interdisciplinary, inter-jurisdictional, and inter-sectoral national type 1 diabetes (t1d) screening research consortium that aims to investigate the feasibility of t1d screening in the general population in canada, building on the successes and experiences from other countries.
• develop, implement, and evaluate research relevant to t1d screening that generates evidence to increase opportunities to identify pre-symptomatic t1d in the canadian pediatric population, reduce the incidence of dka at diagnosis, and improve outcomes for children and youth diagnosed with t1d, and their families.
• support research that involves meaningful engagement with diverse stakeholders and pwle, with particular attention to health disparities, canada's diverse ethnocultural population and indigenous peoples' health and well-being.
• build canadian research capacity in the area of t1d screening.
• maximize research impact and knowledge mobilization to inform health policy, decision making and planning; this includes the ethical, economic, legal and social aspects of t1d screening in the general population.
