heat pumps are a climate mitigation strategy because they can significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions in buildings. this event will educate local residents about heat pumps, including their role as a climate mitigation strategy, how they work, and what is required to install one in a residential home. a local expert will explain the technology behind heat pumps, a local homeowner will share their experience installing one in their home, including any financial payback, and an energy auditor will review any available rebate programs. followed by these short presentations, we are inviting local service providers to set up a booth and engage event attendees on the heat pump-related services they provide.
