how to apply: 

cqdm’s quantum leap pharma-led funding program for drug discovery research helps smes or canadian universities achieve innovative translational biopharmaceutical research projects. projects selected as part of the quantum leap program focus on developing cutting-edge technologies with the potential to significantly advance the r&d activities of cqdm’s pharmaceutical members. quantum leap projects are executed in close collaboration and with the expert support and funds of pharmaceutical members.

the enabling technologies, innovative platforms and/or innovative therapies derived from the quantum leap pharma-led funding program for drug discovery research are selected for their potential to significantly improve, facilitate and/or accelerate the drug discovery process and the development of safer and more effective drugs. the technologies of interest can be at any stage of the drug development process and involve a wide range of therapeutic indications.

projects are associated with specific deliverables and must be ready for use by cqdm pharmaceutical members upon completion. for scientists, the funded research opens new collaboration opportunities with world-class stakeholders in the industry.

idrc international doctoral research awards (idrc-idra)

how to apply: 

idrc has helped graduate 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 undertake thesis research in the field of international development since 1982. idrc international doctoral research awards (idra) are intended to build capacity and develop research skills in canada and the global south to improve the lives of people in the developing world. the objective of the project is to strengthen the capacities of emerging researchers at canadian universities, growing the cohort of researchers able to design, lead and carry out high quality research that contributes to the sustainable development goals and specific development outcome areas of particular interest to idrc. this call for applications is open to canadians, permanent residents of canada, and citizens of developing countries pursuing doctoral studies at a canadian university. awards will cover the costs of field research conducted for a doctoral dissertation in one or more countries in the global south.

cihr fellowship

how to apply: 

cihr's health research training strategy aims to equip research trainees so that they emerge from their training as scientific, professional, or organizational leaders within and beyond the health research enterprise. generating research leaders of tomorrow is a key objective for cihr.

fellowships provide support for highly qualified applicants in all areas of health research at the post-phd degree or post-health professional degree stages to add to their experience by engaging in health research either in canada or abroad.

catalyst grant : standards for children and youth mental health services

how to apply: 

the specific objectives of this funding opportunity are to:

  • contribute to the evidence base on standards or guiding principles for mental health and/or substance use health services across diverse settings;
  • enable a learning health systems approach for the delivery of mental health and substance use health services for youth where standards can be continuously measured and adapted to meet the needs of the populations served;
  • mobilize evidence to inform policy- and decision-making on the development of pan-canadian standards in mental health and substance use health; and
