the r&d partnership fund – c/av and smart mobility – stream 2 program supports projects related to the development, testing, validation, and demonstration of connected and autonomous vehicle (c/av) and smart mobility technologies in the following priority areas:

  • mass light vehicles, such as cars, trucks, and vans
  • heavy duty vehicles, including commercial vehicles, trucks, buses, recreational vehicles (rvs), and others used for goods movement
  • transportation infrastructure
  • intelligent transportation systems (its)

2024 bertram scholarship awards

how to apply: 

in recognition of the growing importance of good governance to all canadian institutions, the canadian foundation for governance research is offering up to three annual bertram scholarship of $20,000 to phd 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 registered at canadian universities. the scholarship will support the work of 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 who are conducting research into governance as part of their doctoral research project.

 

to be eligible for the scholarship, the doctoral research project should focus on a topic directly related to governance, including for example:

  • the importance of effective boards in enabling good decision-making and improving the functioning of canadian institutions;
  • governance issues of interest to canadian boards of public, private, government-agency and not-for-profit organizations;
  • the role of corporate governance in enabling positive societal impacts;
  • governance best practices through the canadian perspective.

the killam nrc paul corkum fellowship honours dr. paul corkum's outstanding contributions to research in canada. the fellowship will create opportunities for mid-to-late career canadian and international scholars to collaborate with nrc researchers. this new program provides opportunities for external scholars to have access to the nrc's unique infrastructure and resources, and work with an nrc researcher to further dorothy killam's vision of building canada's future through advanced study.

harrington scholar-innovator

eligibility: 
  • md or md/phd (or equivalent)
  • faculty position at an accredited academic medical center, university or research institution in the us or canada, and conduct the majority of his/her/their research at that institution
  • a project must have a single principal investigator (pi), who is responsible for project oversight and financial management. the pi may engage collaborators, core labs or commercial cros to execute any portion of the project.
  • past recipients of harrington awards may submit new and distinct proposals, but may not seek additional support for previously funded projects.
how to apply: 

this scholar award recognizes outstanding physician-scientists whose work has potential to advance standard of care. each year up to 12 harrington scholar-innovators are chosen. the award includes:

  • two-year grant
  • $100,000 guaranteed grant award
  • opportunity to compete for acceleration funds up to $300,000 
  • opportunity to qualify for investment funds typically up to $2mm
  • a personalized team of drug developers and project manager for each award recipient
  • expert business, commercialization and clinical development advice
