energy innovation program – on-road transportation decarbonization call for proposals

how to apply:

the energy innovation program – on-road transportation decarbonization call for proposals will help decarbonize the transportation sector by funding research, development, and demonstration projects that:

  • address technical and market barriers to the demonstration or deployment of zero/low-emission on-road medium & heavy-duty vehicles (mhdvs).
  • increase the uptake of zero-emission on-road vehicles.
  • improve the transportation system’s overall efficiency.

this call will not support "inside-the-cell" battery specific innovation or off-road transportation related innovation. nrcan will continue to consider potential future programming focused on these important priorities. projects focusing on electrical powertrain components located outside the battery cells, including battery module components, such as the battery management system (bms), are eligible under this call.
