research tools and instruments grants program
the rti grants program provides the primary avenue for university researchers in the natural sciences and engineering to obtain up to $150,000 in support for research tools and instruments with a net cost between $7,001 and $250,000. net cost is defined as the purchase cost of the equipment after any discount from the vendor and before taxes, customs and importation fees, transportation and shipping charges, and assembly and installation costs.
ihdcyh talks
this year we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of ihdcyh talks, our knowledge mobilization competition. with almost five thousand subscribers to our youtube channel and over 2.3 million views, we know ihdcyh talks has a big impact.
in addition to accepting short videos under 5 minutes, this year we will also accept infographic and podcast submissions. definitions of accepted media formats and eligibility criteria are shared below.

sloan research fellowships
- candidates must hold a ph.d. or equivalent degree in chemistry, computer science, earth system science, economics, mathematics, neuroscience, physics, or a related field.
- candidates must be members of the faculty of a college, university, or other degree-granting institution in the u.s. or canada.
- candidates must be tenure-track, though untenured, as of september 15 of the nomination year.
- candidate’s faculty position must carry a regular teaching obligation.
the sloan research fellowship program recognizes and rewards outstanding early-career faculty who have the potential to revolutionize their fields of study.
brain health medicines
the brain health medicines scholar award provides funding and drug development support to researchers whose work aims to treat, prevent or cure alzheimer's disease and related dementias. the award includes:
- one-year grant
- $100,000 with appropriate justification
- potential to renew for a second year based on milestones achieved
- dedicated project manager for the duration of the award
- drug development, commercial strategy and business development support from harrington's therapeutics development center experts
- opportunity to quality for up to $400,000 in additional funding and drug development support
stratas foundation 2024 scholarship

eureka network canada call for proposals #4 (summer-fall 2024)
- the project consortium must include at least:
- 1 eligible canadian sme, and
- 1 eligible organization from a eureka member country
- the parties listed above must be unrelated parties (i.e., no direct, indirect, beneficial or constructive ownership interest between these parties).
- participation of canadian research institutes/universities, large enterprises and other companies are welcome as additional participants on a self-funding basis or as subcontractors.
- the project partners that form the consortium must agree on a plan addressing intellectual property rights and intent to commercialize.
the national research council of canada industrial research assistance program (nrc irap) aims to foster and support collaborative industrial research and development (r&d) projects with a high potential for commercialization. this call for proposals is open to canadian small and medium-sized enterprises (smes) and organizations from eureka member countries who wish to form project consortia to perform collaborative projects focused on developing innovative products, processes, or technology-based services with a civilian (non-military) purpose in any technological and market area.

royal society wolfson visiting fellowships
the call is open for applications to the royal wolfson society visiting fellowships program to the uk, for nserc- and cihr-related disciplines. the program targets senior researchers for a flexible 12-month stay (ideal for sabbaticals). there are usually 3 calls per year. these awards can be held for up to 12 months full-time (with a minimum stay of three months) or flexibly over two years. candidates can request up to £125,000. funds can be used to cover a bursary (however cannot be used to supplement ongoing salary), research expenses, and relocation expenses. researchers must be nominated by a representative of the host institution before they can apply.

researchers are invited to apply for a new grant funding opportunity sponsored by canadian forces health services (cfhs), director of women and diversity health (dwdh), to conduct a systematic or scoping review regarding barriers to access and use of contraception in the canadian armed forces (caf), other military forces, and canadian and global populations. this systematic or scoping review is required to determine what research exists to date on the barriers patients face when accessing or using long-acting reversible contraception (larc) and/or short-acting reversible contraception (sarc), with a hierarchical priority of studies which investigate the caf members, other military members, canadians, and then global population.
