the challenge grants program will support cancer research projects across the cancer continuum and across disciplines, with an ultimate goal of solving a problem (i.e. a ‘challenge’) in cancer that is meaningful to people affected by or at risk of cancer. applications from the four pillars of health research (i.e. biomedical; clinical; health services; and social, cultural, environmental and population health) are welcome. |

als canada-brain canada discovery grant program 2023
brain canada and the als society of canada are pleased to announce the continuation of the discovery grant program. the purpose of the 2023 discovery grant program is to invest in the best possible projects that are focused on identifying causes of, or treatments for als and/or related neurological diseases, including primary lateral sclerosis, progressive muscular atrophy, and als/ftld (frontotemporal lobar dementia), or research focused on avenues to maximize function, minimize disability and optimize quality of life through symptom management, and support to persons or families living with als.
discovery grants are designed to support teams of multiple investigators and especially encourage multidisciplinary teams with individuals from outside the field who can combine their expertise in novel or innovative ways.
the als canada – brain canada discovery grant program 2023 consists of two streams, which both consist of novel or innovative research approaches, supported by sound rationale and a feasible experimental plan, and maintain the high-risk/high-reward mindset:
stream 1: aimed at nurturing novel ideas looking to obtain preliminary data or to pursue ideas supported by very early data signals. preliminary data may enhance competitiveness but is not necessarily required. up to six awards of $125,000 will be awarded in this cycle.

fulbright canada research chairs are intended for canadian citizens who are exceptional scholars and/or experienced professionals who wish to conduct research and/or lecture in the united states.
fulbright canada research chairs are pre-arranged affiliations that allow scholars to conduct research/lecture on subjects important to that university. partner universities are excited to welcome the fulbright visiting chairs into 2022卡塔尔世界杯赛程表时间 and encourage them to engage with 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 , faculty, and the broader community. fulbright visiting research chairs can guest lecture in university courses, mentor 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 , lecture in public venues, network, and promote their research, while representing the fulbright program, and their home and host institutions.

traditional fulbright scholar award
traditional fulbright awards are open to canadian scholars in all fields and are designed to enable emerging and established scholars, post-doctoral researchers and experienced professionals to conduct research, teach, or undertake a combination of both activities for one semester or a full academic year at any university or research center of their choice in the united states.
specialization: while the competition is open to all disciplines, fulbright canada is particularly interested in encouraging research on contemporary issues relevant to canada, the united states and the relationship between the two countries. applicants should also clearly document the need to be in residence in the united states to carry out the project.
