how to apply: 

we are pleased to announce a call for applications for the 2023 tanaka fund grant to support promising junior japanese studies scholars. this competition will be dependent on the covid-19 pandemic and any travel restrictions imposed by the government of canada or the government of japan.

annual value: a total of $60,000 is available for this year’s awards.

value of grants: grants up to a maximum of $10,000 are available

who is eligible: masters or pre-dissertation doctoral 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 with a research focus on japan, using methods from the social sciences and humanities

duration: a maximum of three months in japan

application deadline: january 8, 2023

erc synergy grant - call for proposals

how to apply: 

under the horizon europe framework, erc synergy grants support transformative research by a small group of two to four principal investigators who seek to address ambitious research problems that cannot be solved by individual investigators/teams working alone.  each group can include one pi / host institution outside of the eu or associated countries.  funding can be up to 10 million euros for up to 6 years (shorter projects are also eligible and prorated).  additional funds are available for start up costs, purchase of major equipment, and access to large facilities.  calls are held once a year, in all scientific fields.  for more information, go to: https://erc.europa.eu/funding/synergy-grants.  for assistance with applications, contact jill sherman, intl.research@lakeheadu.ca.

how to apply: 

on september 22, 2022, we will launch the annual resource allocation competition (rac), a peer-reviewed process to grant priority access to compute, storage and cloud resources beyond what can be obtained via the rapid access service.
