the office of research services is hosting a webinar on safeguarding science, to be presented by public safety canada.

recent efforts by the government of canada to protect national research and innovation has resulted in new policies and best practices for assessing the security risks associated with chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear research efforts.

these policies have direct implications on research done at post-secondary institutions, including 阿根廷vs墨西哥竞猜 , and are also having an impact on tri-agency funding application procedures. recent changes to the nserc alliance program have already been implemented, and completion of a new security risk assessment tool is now required of applicants.  similar requirements will be rolled out by other funding agencies in the future.

to learn more about how these policies may impact your research, how best to assess potential security risks in your research, and how to develop a risk mitigation strategy, please join us and public safety canada for this online information session on october 27th, 2021 from 1:00 – 2:30 pm.

please email events.research@lakeheadu.ca to register.  a microsoft team meeting link will be provided to registrants.
