(or) learn to curl

this january, lakehead orillia athletics and recreation is excited to offer a learn to curl event, partnered with the orillia curling club as part of 2023 thrive week! the event will be hosted at barnfield recreation centre on monday january 23, 2023 from 7 to 9 pm and is open to all lakehead orillia 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 and employees. 

no experience or equipment is necessary! fee to participate is $20 per person, which includes ice time, instruction, and use of equipment. spaces are limited and registration is open on a first-come, first-served basis.

thrive week is back on campus! join us at the orsi family learning commons for some free coffee and snacks, and pick up your 2023 thrive kit! we can’t wait to see you there. get ready to thrive!

join sas is creating a happiness jar for 2023! bring your own jar or decorate one provided by sas.

start the year with an empty jar. each time something happens in your life that brings you joy or just makes you feel good, write it down. add that note to your jar. on new year's eve empty the jar and read about the joyful year you had!

we'll also be leaving the materials and instructions out for the rest of the week for 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 to come in and make jars when they have time.

 

take10 - physical activity & smart goal setting

did you know that nearly 80% of people abandon their new year’s resolutions by february? if you’re like most of us and struggling to keep up, or simply in need of a reset, don't fret; join staff from the student health & wellness outside the main cafeteria january 18th between 10:30am and 12:30pm where we’ll be reviewing smart goal settings to see how physical activity into can be incorporated into your life.

interested in campus rec programming but not ready to commit? try out drop-in intramurals or fitness classes free of charge from january 15- january 20.

see the schedule below- no registration is required for sport drop-in's. for free fitness classes, registration is required and the promo code "tryitweek2023" can be entered when registering. the promo code will only be active from january 13- 20 and can only be used for classes that occur between jan 16-20.

pride every body gym session

join pride central and student health and wellness for an intro to the lakehead athletic facilities. health promoter and registered kinesiologist, lindsey wachter, will give a tour of the facilities and answer any and all questions you might have and give demos of exercises and equipment if needed.

 
we will meet in the lobby of the wolf den for 12 o'clock, please make sure to have indoor shoes.
